Tandy Leather Factory Partners with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to Protect America's Global Supply Chain |
FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2006--Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. (AMEX:TLF) announced today its validation as a partner with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a component of Homeland Security, in its program to protect and secure America's global supply chain. The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is the largest and most successful government-private sector partnership to emerge since 9/11. Tandy Leather Factory and other C-TPAT partners have been working with CBP to improve security while moving commerce across our borders in order to protect America and the global supply chain from acts of terrorism. By participating in this first worldwide supply chain security initiative, Tandy Leather Factory benefits from a more secure supply chain for its suppliers and customers, a reduction in the number of cargo inspections and reduced border wait times.
C-TPAT is a model program for the security and facilitation of commerce and trade in this era of global terrorism. Information on C-TPAT can be found on U.S. Customs & Border Protection's website (www.cbp.gov).
