Tandy Leather Factory to Open Retail Stores in Metro Houston, TX and Ogden, UT Area |
FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 22, 2006--Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. (AMEX:TLF) announced today that it plans to open Tandy Leather retail stores in east Houston (Deer Park), TX and Ogden (Roy), UT. These new stores are #9 and #10 of twelve planned store openings in 2006 and bring the number of Tandy Leather retail stores to 60. The Deer Park store will be located at 8353 Spencer Highway in the San Jac Shopping Center and is expected to open next week. The Roy store will be located at 5362 South 1900 West in the Roy Marketplace Plaza and should open in early June.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Wray Thompson commented, "We are slightly ahead of schedule in our planned store openings for 2006 and are pleased with the customer potential in these two markets. Roger Campbell, who has been training in our Oklahoma City store for almost a year, will be the manager in Deer Park. John Leach, a former Tandy Leather manager for ten years, will be taking the Roy store."
