FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb 18, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Leather Factory, Inc. (AMEX: TLF) announced today that it was honored by Crafts and Craftrends Magazines for its book, Gorgeous Leather Crafts. The book, written by Kari Lee, one of the company's product designers, won the Award of Excellence in the General Craft Books category. Awards were presented during a gala reception at the annual Hobby Industry Association (HIA) Show in Anaheim, Calif, on Jan. 26, 2003.
The Awards of Excellence program recognizes companies for outstanding products and books introduced in the creative marketplace. The winners are chosen from among 200 finalists in 23 categories. Entries are evaluated based on several criteria including quality, originality and innovation, and consumer appeal, and are judged by the editorial staff of Crafts Magazine.
