FORT WORTH, Texas, Sep 25, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Leather Factory, Inc. (AMEX:TLF) today announced that its Tandy Leather Company subsidiary will open a new retail store in Peoria, Ill. next week. This store will be located at 3807 North Sterling Avenue.
Wray Thompson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Leather Factory, Inc. commented, "This is the eleventh Tandy Leather store we've opened in 2002. It gives us a presence in the Midwest that allows us to service customers in the region more efficiently. We have hired Jerry Caldwell as store manager. Jerry has over 25 years of experience in the leathercraft business managing former Tandy stores."
